Matt is a film and theatre director based in London. His debut short film, Back Home, featuring Ralph Davis (Anatomy of a Scandal) and Matilda Ziegler (Mr Bean), was produced by Aimee Lou Wood (Sex Education). His second short film, The Gap, won Best UK Short at Shared Visions Film Festival 2024.

Matt was Associate Director on the Olivier award-winning production of Nell Gwynn by Jessica Swale (Shakespeare’s Globe/Apollo Theatre), starring Gugu Mbatha-Raw and Gemma Arterton. He has been Assistant Director on a number of UK productions, including The Merry Wives of Windsor,Timon of Athens and Tamburlaine for the Royal Shakespeare Company. He has directed at Edinburgh Festival Fringe and led workshops for Mountview and Drama Studio London.

Matt trained at London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA).
