Matt is a film and theatre director based in London. His debut short film, Back Home, featured Ralph Davis (Life After Life, Anatomy of a Scandal) and Matilda Ziegler (Mr Bean, Lark Rise to Candleford), and was produced by Aimee Lou Wood (Sex Education). His second film, The Gap, featuring Nia Gwynne, is currently under submission to film festivals.
Matt was Associate Director on the Olivier award-winning production of Nell Gwynn by Jessica Swale (Shakespeare’s Globe and West End), starring Gugu Mbatha-Raw and Gemma Arterton. He has been Assistant Director on a number of UK productions, including Timon of Athens, Tamburlaine and Twelfth Night for the Royal Shakespeare Company. He has directed at Edinburgh Festival Fringe and led workshops for Mountview and Drama Studio London.
Matt trained at London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA).
